Amy Symons studied at the prestigious University of Arts, London, receiving a BA (Hons) in Fine Art New Media, before beginning her career as a photographer. This academic art background gives her a unique understanding of form, composition and light, and it is her masterful use of light and shadow, along with the strength and charisma portrayed in her female subjects, that characterises her work.
Her images are imbued with a sense of stillness that suggests a moment captured - a tangible tension caught, yet not quite understood. Always observing and constantly aware the modern, her striking fashion work also hints at her love of dramatic painters such as Caravaggio, and demonstrates a strong cinematic influence - a sultry world of complex heroines, beauty and desire.
Amy's work has been exhibited at Tate Britain, London, and is regularly featured in magazines and newspapers worldwide.
Amy and her creative team are available for a wide variety of freelance photography work, both in the UK and Internationally, including
